Tess & Will Olympic National Park Wedding
Tess and Will’s wedding felt extra special to us, especially because we had already spent time together the year before during their engagement session in Mount Rainier National Park. That’s something we always love doing before a wedding—it helps break the ice, gets everyone comfortable in front of the camera, and honestly just feels like hanging out with friends by the time the wedding day comes around.
They started their wedding day at sunrise in the mountains with the most quiet and emotional first look at Deer Park, surrounded by those wide alpine views that just make everything feel still for a moment. Afterward, we made our way to Madison Falls for some peaceful portraits tucked into the lush forest before they took a well-deserved break midday.
Later in the afternoon, the day shifted into their micro wedding celebration at their Airbnb, where they got ready surrounded by their closest people. Their ceremony overlooking the ocean was incredibly intimate, but what really stood out was everything that followed. During dinner, deer wandered through the property, weaving between the trees as everyone sat together—one of those moments you truly can’t plan. As the sun started to set, the energy shifted into dancing, laughter, and that golden glow we all chase. And one of the most meaningful touches? An old-school phone where their friends left heartfelt messages throughout the evening—something they’ll be able to revisit for years to come.
It was one of those days that felt both adventurous and deeply personal from beginning to end.
Best Time for an Olympic National Park Wedding
Olympic National Park is beautiful year-round, but each season offers something different. Summer offers the best weather and accessibility, while fall brings fewer crowds and beautiful colors. Spring is perfect for waterfalls and lush greenery, and winter can offer snowy mountain views and dramatic coastal storms. No matter when you choose, a wedding in the Olympics is always unforgettable.
