Katryn and Alex's wedding day kicked off with a bang on a bright and sunny morning in September. We all gathered at their Airbnb, which was this cozy spot surrounded by mountains and forests - talk about picture-perfect settings for a wedding day! A few of their family members were already there, buzzing with excitement for the day ahead.
First up on the agenda was their first look, which we did right there with those stunning mountain views as the backdrop. Seriously, it was like something out of a movie. Then, with everyone feeling all the feels, we made our way to Lake Crescent for the main event. This place, you guys, is unreal. It's this gorgeous lake carved out by glaciers, surrounded by the kind of scenery you usually only see in postcards.
The ceremony was super intimate and just beautiful, right there on the rocky shores of the lake. Alex's dad came through with some touching words that got everyone all misty-eyed. Then, Katryn and Alex did this cool rope tying thing to symbolize their bond - super unique and meaningful. We all celebrated with some cake and champagne right there by the lake, chatting and soaking up the moment.
Post-ceremony, the adventure continued over to Madison Falls near Port Angeles. We got some epic shots of Katryn and Alex there - the waterfall backdrop was next level. And yeah, we definitely got a little wet, but it was all part of the fun.
After bidding farewell to the family, it was just us as we headed up the mountains for the grand finale. The drive itself was an adventure, winding through narrow forest roads and swapping stories. Reaching the top, we hiked a bit to this spot with views that'll knock your socks off - Olympic National Park in all its glory, with mountains stretching out forever and even a deer making a cameo!
As the sun dipped behind those mountains, Katryn and Alex had this beautiful moment, just soaking in the day and the incredible journey they'd just begun together. Honestly, it was the perfect end to a perfect day.
