Meet the couple that eloped in Olympic National Park

Erinn and Ashish's adventure-packed wedding day began with an unexpected twist, quite literally. The plan was to meet on top of a mountain at 4 am, but fate had other plans. Before we were able to turn off our wake-up alarm, our car, serving as our camping haven, shook violently, accompanied by a thunderous bang. We found ourselves during an unexpected thunderstorm, a rare occurrence in Washington, and one that stubbornly persisted for nearly four hours. Lying in our sleeping bags, patiently waiting for the storm to pass, we decided to delay their mountain rendezvous until the weather cleared.

As the thunder gradually subsided, we ventured up the mountain to finally meet. Thankfully, the storm had dissipated by the time they arrived, and the duo wasted no time preparing for their special day by the car.

Early in the planning stages, the couple expressed their desire to do traditional Indian wedding attire atop the mountain. The vibrant colors and intricate beading were chosen to harmonize with the mountain backdrop. Despite the sun remaining hidden behind clouds, the weather was ideal, and the threat of the earlier storm had vanished.

Exploring Olympic National Park’s forest and coastline

After a few hours of exploring the mountaintops in Olympic National Park, Erinn and Ashish took a break. They returned to their Airbnb to freshen up and reunite with family. Later, the couple, now joined by loved ones, embarked on a hike to a waterfall near Lake Crescent. Following a small ceremony where they exchanged vows, the newlyweds celebrated with a picturesque picnic and champagne.

The final leg of their remarkable day took them to the Olympic Coast. Arriving at Rialto Beach, they faced a 3-mile out-and-back hike to Hole in the Wall. Along the coastline, they inhaled the invigorating sea air, observing pelicans gracefully dancing on the waves. After an hour, they reached their destination. Descending the rocks, Erinn and Ashish explored tide pools teeming with sea critters before reaching the iconic Hole in the Wall. The timing was intentional, planned around low tide to capture the perfect shot, a moment that would be impossible during high tide.

Amidst the rugged rock formations, the couple shared personal vows, bringing a deeply sentimental touch to the breathtaking surroundings. To cap off their extraordinary day, Erinn and Ashish raised a toast with whiskey, savoring the memories created amidst the natural wonders of Olympic National Park and the captivating Olympic Coast.
